Precisa Hermes Mechanical Adding Machine (model 109-7)

I found this device discarded in South Orange, NJ, February 2010. It looks to be very similar to the Precisa 128-1-E in Prof. Hamann's online museum.

Differences From Hamann's 128-1-E

• The − button is missing. (you can still trigger the mechanism)
• No lock.
• Subtotal is marked S instead of ♦
• Total is marked T instead of *
• Appears to have three full blank slots on left of printing mechanism, where 128-1-E has two full blank slots

Mechanism

The cover opens as Haumann describes: push on the front of the upper part, and lift up. Here's a photo of the mechanism from above.
